Grosse Club New Year's Party Report
A New Year's party was held on January 24th at Kanda Myojin Shrine in Tokyo.
The dress code for this event was "lucky item or lucky color." Everyone looked wonderful with their elaborate outfits.

First, we made a formal visit to Kanda Myojin Shrine.
We entered the main hall and received prayers for good fortune and the fulfillment of our wishes.

After the formal worship, there will be a lunch party with free-flowing champagne at the Myojin Kaikan's "Irodori no Ma" room.

Following a toast from President Noda, members of the Izumi school of Kyogen performed a traditional Japanese form of culture that has been passed down for over 600 years.

The performance began with a small dance, the Crane and Turtle Dance, suitable for a New Year's celebration. Izumi Saimei and Izumi Keiko performed this gorgeous dance, in which a crane and a turtle dance playfully, then ascend to heaven after being blessed with a thousand years of life.

Next came the Kyogen piece "Boushibari" (Tied to a Stick) performed by Izumi Motoya, head of the Izumi school, the first female Kyogen performer in history, Izumi Junko, and Miyake Tokuro X. The audience was united in laughter at the brilliant performance, full of humor. It was a truly luxurious experience, allowing us to experience the joy of the traditional culture of Kyogen up close.

The food is a good luck menu using ingredients from the Edo period. Based on dashi, the core of Japanese cuisine, the menu features a variety of delicately flavored dishes that combine Japanese and French cuisine.

Guests enjoyed a vegetable potage that ended with the letter "n" to bring good luck, roast beef accented with vibrant bonito flakes, auspicious sea bream ochazuke, and milk pudding with horse mochi for dessert, in honor of the Year of the Horse.
As a souvenir, we prepared bracelets with lucky flower charms. It was impressive to see the customers having fun choosing between six different flower charms and their flower meanings.

This time, we have brought you a program aimed at filling the New Year with laughter, good fortune, and sparkle.
The next event will be showroom shopping on Thursday, February 12th.
Due to the significant rise in the cost of precious metals, prices will be increased for the first time in three years (February 26th), but we have planned this to make it easier for members to use their points to shop before that happens.
Please enjoy trying on the products and having a great time.
